Using a little more than 30 words I managed to snag a free pass to the almighty Googleplex for an afternoon of schmoozing. The perks include free beer, a ride to the hotel, and a sneak peak at the upcoming Googleplex megamall. Not bad for the first timer and a crate of wine. The only downside is being cooped up in an office with a bunch of techie bears. Luckily, I had already picked up the tab for the pre-requisites. The next day I was off to the races. After a few drinks the night before, I was on my A game. It’s been a long, long time since I last hung out with some actual techie folk. Is it really that bad? I’m just not sure I’m ready for that. I’m sure there are more than a few slackers out there in a similar predicament. The best part is that I had a jolly time and a bottle of bubbly. oh, and a mate, of course. I’m sure I’ll see you on the dance floor soon enough. Is it a date or something more? I’ll get back to you when I’m done froeing. I’ll be back in time for the weekend, so hopefully I can get a cab home!
